Intro to MMA

The Mastering Music Awards (MMA) have been purposefully crafted to be accessible to beginner musicians as an introduction to music exams. While students then have the option to move on to the more traditional exams, MMA’s are designed to move up alongside the grade exams. What sets the MMAs apart is their inclusive nature, making them easily accessible not only to individual lesson students but also to those being taught in smaller group settings, typically consisting of 2 to 4 pupils. This flexibility ensures that a broader range of students can benefit from and engage with the MMA program, fostering a love for music and skill development across various learning environments.

Why take the MMA?

The MMA is an excellent opportunity for students to take their first steps into the world of instrumental examinations. These awards have been thoughtfully crafted to provide a low-pressure and enjoyable introduction to the experience of being assessed in a musical context. By participating in MMAs, students can explore the realm of instrumental examinations with a sense of adventure and enthusiasm, offering them a positive and supportive environment to begin their journey towards musical excellence.
