We pride ourselves in the musical community we are cultivating in Cornwall; providing instrumental lessons, delivering class based music, providing music therapy, leading ensembles and giving our students performance opportunities.

What Happens next?

Your child has been added to our waiting list and as soon as a space becomes available a teacher will be in contact with details about their lesson. This sometimes takes a while if the teacher’s timetable is full or if we haven’t yet got enough student numbers for that particular instrument. If you have any questions about this than please contact the office for more information.

Do I need an instrument yet?

In general it is best to wait until your lessons start as your teacher will help you to pick the best instrument for your child. With most instruments there are wide variances in size and quality which your teacher will help you navigate. Sometimes it is more efficient to rent an instrument rather than buying and your teacher will help you with this also. If you want a head start then you can check out our recommended instruments below.

How do we pay?

Once lessons have begun then you will receive your first invoice which can be paid through the website or using the button below. From then on you will receive a new invoice at the beginning of each term

If you wish like to cancel your lessons then you need to give 6 weeks notice and your account will be adjusted accordingly.

How can I help my child learn?

We recommend getting involved with your child’s learning; help them practice, maybe even learn alongside them, and listen to them play as often as you can. The best thing you can do to help your child learn is to become their biggest fan! Creating a passionate musician is all about nurture and living in a positive musical environment. The more you are able to listen to and interact with music, the more passion your child will have towards music.

Once lessons have started that is only the beginning! There are ensembles available for all instruments over a range of abilities spread throughout Cornwall. Ensembles enable students to meet fellow musicians, build on their musical skills, try new things and open them up to a range of performance opportunities. Playing within the larger ensembles can have a great effect on students confidence towards performing as it is able to grow within a supportive group dynamic. Email the office to find out more.
